Thursday, October 13, kicks off the 30th annual Biketoberfest Event in Daytona Beach. Biketoberfest is happening despite Daytona Beach being hit by Hurricane Ian just weeks ago, just under two weeks earlier. The biggest challenge might be finding local accommodations as some hotels, like the Plaza Resort, got significant wind and rain damage, including some flooding. However, the Volusia County Lodging and Hospitality Association says most Daytona Beach Hotels are running at or close to regular operation. The affected hotels are working with those who booked reservations to get accommodations at other area hotels. Some Bikers are even booking rooms in beachside communities like Cocoa Beach and Titusville, which were not hit very hard by the storm. Daytona Beach expects the Biker community to come out in record numbers following some off years due to the Pandemic.

FL Bikers plans to be on the main street on both Friday and Saturday to capture photographs of all the fun. Be sure to visit our website after Biketoberfest wraps up to see if you or your biker friends are part of our downloadable photograph galleries. Not sure where to go? Check out Flbikers.com for a list of the many events and activities happening all over Daytona Beach during the four days. The businesses and exhibitors are all reporting business as usual for this fall biker tradition, so gather your biker friends and join us at Biketoberfest 2022.
