Florida is king of the road when it comes to motorcycles.

The latest statistics, compiled by the U.S Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, show Florida’s 461,935 registered motorcycles ranks second to California’s 626,529 bikes as the most active motorcycling state in the country.

But when you figure California has 36 million people, compared to Florida’s 18 million, a greater percentage of Florida motorists are hitting the road on their motorcycles than anywhere in America.
